Dr Mydhili Immadi is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She has been in General Practice for many years. Prior to this, she worked in various Sydney Metropolitan Hospitals for 6 years. She has an interest in all aspects of General Practice with special interest in Women’s Health, Family Planning and Child Health. She is multilingual and fluent in English, Hindi and Telugu.
Dr Parul Garg is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). She completed her MBBS from a prestigious medical school in New Delhi. Subsequently she worked for a number of years in hospital positions. She has worked in the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, palliative care, urosurgery, general medicine, emergency department and psychiatry. She has a special interest in women’s health and contraception. She holds Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She also enjoys working with children and young families. Prior to commencing at Westmead doctors she has worked in general practice at Blacktown and Castle Hill.
Dr Sandeep Goyal is a General Practitioner. He completed his MBBS from a prestigious medical college in Punjab. Prior to working at Westmead Doctors, he worked in general practice and aged care in the Blue Mountains. He also worked as a General Practitioner in Punjab for seven years. He is multilingual and fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
Dr Iyer is dedicated to providing impeccable and compassionate care comprehensive, state of art screening services, expert preventative care and diagnosis in this professional facility. Dr Iyer graduated from St.Petersburg State Medical University with High distinction. He was bestowed the Presidential Red Degree for attaining the university gold medallist with academic excellence. He subsequently completed postgraduate training in the UK. Dr Iyer underwent further Physician’s training at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney and completed his Cardiology training & fellowship in Royal Canberra & Launceston General Hospitals. Dr Iyer has a special interest in heart failure, cardiovascular disease in women, structural and valvular heart disease with a strong focus on non-invasive cardiology such as Stress ECHO, Trans-oesophageal ECHO and 3D TTE. He is a faculty member at the Macquarie University Hospital & a Staff Specialist at Liverpool Hospital. Dr Iyer is fluent in several languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Russian & German.
Dr Pankaj Garg is a Paediatrician with an interest in children with Developmental and Behavioural Disorders. He has broad general paediatric experience including working with children with common paediatric conditions, disabilities and behavioural conditions such as autism and ADHD. He also has experience with newborns, adolescents and has experience in managing complex pain conditions in children. He is an accredited provider for developmental assessments of children using validated tools such as Griffiths Mental Development Scales (GMDS) and has training in Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedules (ADOS).
Dr Anjali Dhawan is a Neonatologist and Paediatrician, with clinical experience providing care to newborns and their families for over a decade. After paediatric training from Sydney Children’s Hospital, she completed her specialist training in Neonatology from the Royal Hospital for Women and the Royal North Shore Hospital. Her research interests include the long term development outcomes of the high risk neonates. She has expertise in performing formal neurodevelopmental assessments and providing early intervention follow up.
Dr Shihab Hameed graduated from University of New South Wales and continued his postgraduate training in Paediatrics with subspecialisation in Paediatric Endocrinology through Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick. He has completed a PhD in Paediatric Endocrinology through the University of New South Wales. He has practiced for several years as a Staff Specialist in Paediatric Endocrinology, at a number of sites including, Sydney Children's Hospital, Campbelltown Hospital, Nepean Hospital, and now works at Royal North Shore and Sydney Children's Hospitals. He has a strong interest in clinical research and teaching, and has expertise in the management of disorders of growth, puberty, adrenal, pituitary and thyroid function, obesity, insulin resistance, diabetes mellitus, insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring.
Dr Catherine Jonas is a Consultant Paediatrician and a Paediatric Sleep Physician. In addition to general childhood medical conditions, she has special interest in obstructive sleep apnoea, insomnia and various non-respiratory sleep disorders. She completed her medical degree in India. She got trained in General Paediatrics as well as Sleep Medicine in the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network. As a Conjoint Lecturer with UNSW, she was actively involved in training undergraduate medical students. She is interested in medical research studies and has presented her research work in several national and international conferences. She is a mother of two teenage boys, and enjoys travelling, cooking and gardening.
Dr Eric Cheah is a Paediatric Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. He is a Staff Specialist at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Dr Cheah graduated in Medicine from the University of Melbourne in 2005 where he also obtained Honours in the Bachelor of Medical Science. He commenced his paediatric training through the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. In 2014, Dr Cheah completed his subspecialty training in Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology, as well as paediatric liver transplantation at the Children’s Hospital in Westmead. He is a Research Fellow with the James Fairfax Institute of Paediatric Nutrition examining the clinical effects of a drug intervention on cystic fibrosis pancreatic disease under Professor Kevin Gaskin, and also study coordinating for an eosinophilic oesophagitis multicentre study. He has published and presented nationally and internationally. Eric manages children from newborns to adolescents with gastrointestinal complaints including abdominal pain, functional gastrointestinal disorders, coeliac disease, constipation, diarrhoea, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, liver disease and failure to thrive with a special interest in eosinophilic oesophagitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and cystic fibrosis. Dr Cheah is accredited to perform paediatric gastroscopy and colonoscopy by The Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE). He also provides video capsule endoscopy (pill cam) services. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) as well as the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA). Eric loves the outdoors, travelling and playing tennis. He also has a PADI open water diver certification.
Dr Narinder Kaur is a Consultant Paediatrician and manages Allergic and Immunological conditions. She is currently working as a fellow in the Allergy and Immunology department at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Her special interests includes Paediatric food allergy (birth to 16 years of age), drug allergies, eczema, asthma, allergic rhinitis and immunotherapy.
Dr Kaur organises all the required investigations (skin prick tests and blood tests) at the time of consultation. She can organise food and drug challenges through The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
Dr Kaur has keen interest in education and research. She is involved in teaching of medical students and FRACP Paediatric trainees. She has presented her research at various national and international conferences. Her current project involves improving diagnosis of peanut allergy in children and adolescents through a blood test.
Dr Vincent Varjavandi is a consultant Paediatric Surgeon at Sydney Children’s Hospital. He trained at Flinders University in South Australia, then undertook paediatric surgical training at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide and the Westmead Hospital, Sydney. He trained in adult general surgery with the Alfred Hospital Group in Melbourne and spent a year in Boston at the New England Medical Centre as the international laparoscopic fellow. He provides a full range of Paediatric Surgical services including inguino-scrotal, laparoscopic, thoracic and oncology surgery. He also performs newborn circumcision under local anaesthesia at our clinic.
Giselle Rodrigues is a Dietitian with wide experience working in a clinical and community setting providing services to patients with diabetes, renal implications, liver implications, gastrointestinal issues, gastroesophageal reflux disease, food allergies and intolerances, polycystic ovarian syndrome, cancer cachexia, anorexia, poor appetite, malnutrition, obesity and weight loss, heart implications, hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, respiratory issues and paediatrics as well as many other clinical areas.
Jignasha is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience using techniques from various therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Her therapeutic approach is eclectic and tailored to suit individual patient’s needs.
Dr Mukul Pandit is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He has been in General Practice for many years. He has an interest in all aspects of General Practice with particular special interest in chronic disease management. He provides person centred, continuing, comprehensive and coordinated health care to individuals and families. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati and Marathi.
Dr Meghana Bhargava (who is affectionately known as Dr Meg ) is a fellow of the Royal College of General practitioners and has been working in General Practice for many years. Prior to being a GP Dr Bhargava has worked in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Emergency Department in U.K. and Australia. She has special interest in women's, child and family health and is well versed with all aspects of General practice. Dr Bhargava has worked in Jervis Bay region for many years. Dr Bhargava is fluent in English and Hindi and will be taking new patients.
Dr Sasikaran is a Consultant Physician and Geriatrician. He holds the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). He completed his advanced training at Westmead and Nepean hospitals. He provides services at Hawkesbury and Blue mountain hospitals. He has expertise in complex medical conditions, poly-pharmacy in the elderly, and management of dementia, osteoporosis, frailty, falls prevention and care in aged care facilities. Dr Sasikaran goes above and beyond in treating his patients with kindness and he holds the philosophy that our senior citizens and elderly population shouldn’t go out of pocket for their medical treatment.
Dr Santhi Chalasani graduated with Honors from the Monash Medical Program in 2005. She undertook sub-specialty Endocrinology training at several major teaching hospitals in Sydney. Her interests include diabetes, gestational endocrinology and thyroid disorders. She is currently involved in research with the The George Institute for Global Health trialling an electronic clinical decision support tool for general practitioners in the management of diabetes. She has completed a Masters in philosophy through Sydney University in diabetes research. She is actively involved in continuing professional development and remains informed of relevant scientific and clinical literature by attending conferences, participating in meetings and reading appropriate journals.
Dr Shweta Batra is a General Paediatrician. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). She has more than eight years of clinical experience in Paediatrics. She completed her basic as well as advanced training in Paediatrics at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She is currently involved in research in the Adolescent Medicine Unit at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She has expertise in the management of General Paediatric issues for age group ranging from newborn to adolescent years. She has special interest in growth & development and chronic disease management.
Dr Kavita Bhola is a Neonatologist and Paediatrician who undertook her training at Canberra Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Royal Hospital for Women and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She is a consultant at Blacktown Hospital and holds visiting medical officer positions at Westmead Private Hospital and Prince of Wales Private Hospital. Her expertise is in looking after babies in the newborn period extending to the early formative school going years.
Dr Kavitha Kothur has specialist qualifications in paediatric neurology and paediatrics. She completed paediatric neurology training through fellowships in epilepsy, neuromuscular, neuroimmunology and general neurology at the Children's Hospital at Westmead. She also worked in neurodisability/rehabilitation clinic and child psychiatry. Dr Kothur provides comprehensive care for neonates and children with neurological problems from birth through to 16 years of age and works towards providing best possible care for her patients and their families. She has broad range of clinical experience in the diagnosis, investigation and management of children with seizures, epilepsy, headache, developmental and behavioural concerns, neuromuscular problems, neurogenetics, Tics, abnormal movements and psychosomatic disorders and brain injury. She has experience in managing children with disability and strongly advocates for their support services. She has a strong interest in clinical research and teaching. She also has an appointment as clinical lecturer at the Discipline of Paediatrics and Child Health, University of Sydney. She is currently conducting research at Institute for Neurosciences and Muscle Research (INMR) in developing biomarkers of neuroinflammation as part of PhD. She has honorary appointment as postgraduate fellow in epilepsy at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She published her research in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her research work in national and international child neurology conferences. She is a mother of two young girls and understands family needs and challenges faced by the families.
Anuja Sawant is a registered Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy in America with Pediatrics as her Practice Area of Emphasis. She works extensively with children diagnosed with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Sensory processing difficulties and Developmental delays. Anuja has worked with children in schools, the home environment and in private practice. She regularly conducts workshops and training on the development of Sensory and Motor skills in children, Behaviour support, Development of Handwriting skills and Independence in Self care. She has received specialised training in Seating and Positioning, Sensory Processing and Handwriting problems and their management. She holds special interest in therapy programs directed at developing School Readiness for children. Anuja is fluent in several languages including English, Hindi and Marathi.
Akki is a versatile Speech Pathologist with 15 years of experience in assessment and management of speech, language and communication disorders in children and adults as a result of a wide range of developmental disabilities such as hearing impairment, cerebral palsy & multiple handicaps, autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability. She is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP). She has a dual Master’s degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (MASLP). She is certified in the Hanen It Takes Two To Talk program for parents of children with language delays. She is also trained in the Lidcombe Program for developmental stuttering and Applied Behavioural Analysis for children with autism. She is Pearson’s Certified Speech Pathologist Master trainer for standardised assessments to train school teachers. She is passionate about family centred practice and strength-based focus with her clients. She is proficient in four languages (English, Hindi, Marathi and Konkani) and basic Auslan.
Vinnie Graduated from University of Queensland with honours. She has a passion for helping people and provides comprehensive assessment and physiotherapy treatment. She aims to provide caring and positive one on one individualised treatment through a patient-centred approach. Vinnie is very active herself playing squash, sky dives and yoga. She speaks English, Indian and French.
Hansen is a friendly and approachable male psychologist. He is a passionate psychologist who is strongly committed to providing the best attention and care to patients at our clinic by guiding them through professional advice and through the provision of evidence based interventions. Hansen is competent in delivering Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Behaviour Therapy/ Management Training and Solution Focused Therapy. Hansen has gained extensive experience in working with individuals with various presentations including individuals with: Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD), Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome as well as other presentations including anxiety and depression. Additionally, Hansen has gained significant experience in administering various psychological assessments including (but not limited to): cognitive, behavioural, learning, memory as well as risk assessments. Hansen has also completed an Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) training course and is a qualified ABA therapist. He has extensive experience in working with children with autism spectrum disorder.
